For more than 30 years, Jeep Auto Parts has been distinguished by its good service and good prices in the southern area of Puerto Rico. After seeing how the parts market has evolved worldwide, its owners were driven to promote their business beyond the southern area of the island.
Since the auto parts sales market is changing rapidly and constantly, we had to face certain obstacles and seek solutions to certain questions. How do we reach more customers and automate our business? How can we establish more points of sale without an expensive investment of premises? It was with these doubts that we began to work and give direction to the project.
This auto parts market has several factors to take into account in order to obtain a good result: quantity of products, how to find parts efficiently, quality of product photos, reports, analytics, among others. With this in mind, our team of developers selected and developed a Magento 2.0 platform with a custom Parts Finder module. Magento is an “open source” platform capable of: managing high amounts of inventory, creating b2b and b2c sales, creating deep inventory reports for managing aging parts and especially its loading speed, which was solved with Progressive Web App technology (PWA).
As a result, Jeep Auto Parts sales have exceeded territorial limits, exporting their merchandise to the United States and Latin America. This accompanied by a positive change in the management and administration of the parts inventory.
